I recently found the Australia based skincare line Alpha-H, through a few posts on instagram and…I cannot rave enough about this stuff! The Liquid Gold is their superstar and it’s like magic in a bottle. It instantly revives your complexion and I kid you not, it looked like I had snapchat’s pretty filter on the first time I used it. I noticed immediate results and have received countless compliments on my complexion since making Alpha-H my daily skincare regimen. My husband, who never notices anything different about me even commented on how good my skin looked! I’ve shared the buzz with a lot of my friends and co-workers and so many people I know have now tried this line and have achieved the same remarkable results. With that in mind, I wanted to give you a run down on my favorite items from the whole collection.
The basis for this line is glycolic acid which has numerous benefits for the skin. Here are details from Alpha-H’s website: “Glycolic Acid works well as an exfoliater because of its high acidity and easy solubility. When placed on the skin it goes under the damaged upper layers and assists in shifting dead skin cells. The result is a much-smoother skin surface and a more youthful appearance. This removal of dead skin cell build up helps to decongest the skin, encourage cellular renewal and minimise the appearance of pigmentation.”
- First and foremost is the Liquid Gold; I have both the regular and rose gold edition. I think people will notice the most results from using the Liquid Gold. Keep in mind you’re only supposed to use this every other night. I have to hold myself back from using it every night because I love it so much!
- I also adore the Instant Facial – it’s similar to the Liquid Gold, but suitable for daily use. I use it in the morning after cleansing. It helps even out your skin tone and reduces oiliness in your T-zone, which is a biggie for me.
- In the mornings, I use a few drops of the Vitamin C serum for brightening and hydration. At night, I use a the Vitamin A serum for anti-aging assistance.
- On a weekly basis I will use the Liquid Gold Smoothing and Perfecting Mask. It’s compared to a mini-peel as it helps exfoliate dead surface skin while leaving your skin smooth and soft. It also has nice soothing properties like lavender.
- I have been cursed with naturally chapped lips, so I love the Absolute Lip Perfector, I use it at night before bed and my lips are still hydrated and conditioned when I wake up! It has a nice balmy texture with a slight minty tingle.
- Sun protection is a MUST! I love that Alpha-H’s Protection Plus Daily SPF50+ is tinted. It’s always so hard to rub in the white sunscreens on my face. It also has a matte finish, so no shiny, oily look after applying. It’s also a nice primer for foundation which is a huge bonus.
- I use the Multi-Perfecting Skin Tint right after applying the Protection Plus. It’s a light, easy to blend tinted moisturizer. I love the soft, blurry finish it leaves. I currently use the Light/Medium shade, but may have to go with the Medium/Dark soon for the summer. The coolest thing about this product is that it is a two in one – in the cap there is a pot of concealer and a mirror in the flip top! It’s so convenient to throw into my bag for a quick touch up.
- Last, but by no means least, is the Liquid Rose Gold Hand Cream. If you’re like me and wash your hands constantly throughout the day, you know just how dry they can get. This hand cream is thick, but not sticky or heavy. I have noticed a significant improvement in the texture of the skin on my hands and my cuticles look better than ever. I use it before going to bed and the last step of my morning routine before I head out the door. I wish there was a travel size that I could throw in my purse, but other than that, this is one of the best hand creams I’ve ever used.
What I’ve told all of my friends who are interested in my this skincare line is to start off with the A-List kit, which is what I did. This way you can make sure that you like the line before committing to full-size items. Then, the A-List kit can easily transition to your travel essentials!
