Hi Friends!
So, it’s definitely no secret that I am a *bit* obsessed when it comes to macarons. If you’ve seen ANY of my stories, highlights, or feed posts on Instagram, you know there’s nothing I love more than a good macaron, ok… I mean a good box of macarons, because really, who can only eat just one?!
In the DC metro area where I live, there are quite a few places to get macarons, but my absolute FAVORITE place is Olivia Macaron. Being the huge fan that I am, I was super excited to collaborate with them and help spread the word about their new fall flavors! Their flagship store is in Georgetown DC, and I recently spent an afternoon there getting some fun photos to share with you all.
The Georgetown shop is so cute and conveniently located on M Street. DC is a little too far for me to drive to on a regular basis to feed my need for macarons, but luckily, Olivia Macaron has a kiosk in Tysons Corner Shopping Center. I’m seriously there every week, so of course you know I make a pit stop for their macarons every single time I’m at the mall! For those that can’t make it to one of Olivia Macaron’s shops, you can easily order online. On another, more important note, Olivia Macaron is a local, minority and women owned, small business. Do you guys know how AMAZING that is?! Olivia Macaron just celebrated it’s 5 year anniversary. Over those 5 years of hard work and focus, they have successfully expanded to multiple locations in the DMV area. Supporting local businesses is so instrumental for each and every one of our communities; it creates and fosters jobs for our neighborhoods, it encourages the entrepreneurial spirit, sparks growth, innovation, creative advancements, and helps strengthen the community through personal relationships and active participation. Olivia Macaron also generously supports charities and causes with creativity and passion. Last month, they released a new flavor of macaron, Charcoal Lemonade, in partnership and support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a national childhood cancer foundation. This month, they are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Susan G. Komen foundation, by donating a portion of their sales from each pink box of macarons sold.
I’m so proud to support Olivia Macaron, and the women behind it; I’m truly honored that I have been able to collaborate with a business that is so driven by purpose and passion. Do you guys have a favorite local small business too? If so, drop a comment below and tell me which one and why you love them!
