Today, I’m showcasing my newest luxe addition and truly, one of my Holy Grail bags… the Chanel XXL travel flap bag, in a beautiful metallic champagne gold! Insert a million heart emojis!

When One Door Closes…

I first fell in love with this bag after seeing @emilyanngemma rock it on IG over the last year or so. I even DM’d with her about it and asked her several questions. When she mentioned she might sell it when she got her black one a few months ago, I was all over her page/posts/stories trying to see if/when she would let it go. Unfortunately, she kept it, but in the long run, it worked out well in my favor, as I got a BRAND NEW one from Luxury Resale Network.

New vs. Old

First, you guys know that they re-released this bag this season and it came in two sizes, as well as a new gold color (among others). Sorry to say, but I did not like the new gold color. It looked a bit too light and yellow, and almost mustardy to me.

I was also bummed that the newer style didn’t offer the convertible back pocket that slid over the handles of suitcases. I really just loved the older, softer, yet richer metallic color, and could not justify buying the newest version because it was not exactly what I wanted. I’ve often kept my eye out for the particular style and color I was after, but everything I saw was overpriced and/or noticeably used, which just didn’t work for me.

Mirage or Miracle?

One day last month, I was looking online again, and like a beacon calling out to me, I saw the listing from Luxury Resale Network in my search… A million different thoughts ran through my head like, is this real (or fake)? Could this actually be brand new? Is there something wrong with it? I truly could not believe my luck in finding this bag, AND in absolute brand new condition. I consider myself a well versed shopper with regards to luxury resellers, but had not yet heard of Luxury Resale Network. As with any new site, I was a bit cautious, and quickly googled them for reviews, and found many satisfied clients. The company is based out of Boston, MA, and has an online presence, as well as a physical location available by appointment only. It was reassuring that they were somewhat local to me on the East Coast, as opposed to somewhere overseas. I know of a few other Boston based resellers in the market, so this made me feel more comfortable, as I’m sure I would have heard about them if there were not reputable. Within minutes, I started an online chat with Andrea, who is one of the co-owners of Luxury Resale Network, along with her brother Eric. Andrea was quick to reply on our chat, she was prompt in answering my questions, very knowledgable and provided me detailed answers to my questions. Best of all she was friendly, and super easy to work with! I honestly still could not believe my luck in finding this gem; and with excited and shaky fingers, I promptly completed the purchase of my dream bag!

I was so happy that I found the bag I’ve been waiting years for, and in pristine condition with stickers still attached to the hardware. I firmly believe it was meant to be, and I was so ecstatic to find such a reputable reseller in Luxury Resale Network.

The Personal Touch

After completing my purchase, I ended up chatting on the phone with Eric, who handles the consignments for Luxury Resale Network. He was so informative, and made it easy for me to understand their process, and the consignment terms. I definitely look forward to consigning some of my items with them in the future, and of course, adding more to my collection from Luxury Resale Network as well!

I love that they are a small, family owned business, and that they are 100% committed to their customers. They do everything in house, and are completely focused on giving top notch, personalized service. There’s definitely something to be said for small businesses, especially in the Luxury industry. As I’ve experienced with larger retail and e-commerce companies, you can certainly get lost in the shuffle of a general inbox or voice mail box. This is not the case with Luxury Resale Network, you will get true one-on-one interaction, and prompt and personal service from them. Customers and consigners have direct access to text, call, chat and/or email with questions or consignment details; they really make themselves so accessible, and easy to work with. Eric is also a Chanel expert, so of course, we speak the same language lol! My entire interaction with Luxury Resale Network was wonderful. I honestly can’t recommend them enough; their prices are attractive, and their customer service truly can’t be beat.

I’m so excited to have my new bag ready to go for some upcoming Spring trips! I can’t wait to truly travel in style with my dream bag, thanks to Luxury Resale Network!
