Women Together Series
Eileen Fisher stores across the country are celebrating the Women Together series. Select stores will have special events dedicated to honoring women who embody and inspire community.
Introducing the Spring 2019 Collection
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of working with the Eileen Fisher team at Tysons Galleria. I spent an hour at the store to help introduce their new Spring Collection. Michele, who is a true superstar at the shop, led a fantastic presentation going over some of the great Spring pieces that had come in. She spoke about the System and how to complement pieces you already owned with new fashion items. She provided great information about the fabrics, and the background of some of the textiles, explaining how they would last over time and the colorfastness of some of the products.
Among Friends, Old & New
We were joined by a few of the store’s devoted clients and several more that came to the event on my behalf. It was great to interact with everyone and learn what items they gravitated towards, and why. I believe for those that were new to Eileen Fisher, they were able to find items that suited their taste and style. They also learned how to incorporate key pieces into their wardrobe to create a variety of outfit options. I think it definitely opened their eyes to see such high quality, stylish designs. It may be surprising to some, but Eileen Fisher is not just for a more mature clientele. Their classic and timeless designs are for everyone and their pieces will vastly improve any wardrobe. I hope those that were recently introduced to this brand, will now consider Eileen Fisher when they are in the market for updating their attire!
My Gifted Outfit Selection
Prior to this past weekend’s event, I was on hand at the store to try on some of their new items. I selected three outfits to try on and I really loved them all!
Option 1
The first option was a classic slip dress with long duster cardigan. It was so simple yet so chic and sophisticated. I loved the quality of the fabrics and the duster was such a versatile piece the you could layer over a dress, as shown above, or even jeans and top. It was a great day to night option that I simply adored.
Option 2
The next look was a super cute button-down, drawstring, shirt dress. I LOVED this color, called Currant. It was super flattering on, and the drawstring detail allowed for a more personalized fit. The material was lightweight and moved easily while still providing a great shape and silhouette. I really felt like it was the most perfect dress for Spring.
Option 3
The last look was a more traditional Eileen Fisher style which included her signature layering format. I chose a (washable!) crepe pencil skirt, and paired it with a lightweight Tencel tank, under a silk and organic cotton box top. The whole outfit was very comfortable and I felt polished and put together.
And the Winner is…
In the end, I chose the colorful Spring inspired shirt dress. I just really loved the vibrant hue and the classic and stylish design. It could easily be styled more casually with flat sandals and a jacket, or more dressy, how I wore it with heels and a designer bag. I seriously got so many compliments that day on this look. I ended up shopping in the mall after the event and a lot of people stopped me to tell me they loved my outfit.
