Skincare is so front and center these days and there are a lot of product lines I really like, but an all time favorite of mine is La Mer. Obviously, it can be pretty costly to invest in this luxury skincare line, but I feel like their products are worth it and I make them last by mixing up my skincare routine with other items. There is so much to love about La Mer products, including their signature ingredient, the cell renewing Miracle Broth component. All of the moisturizers are superb and immediately enhance my skin, I use a few different ones, depending on my skins needs. I feel great knowing I’m treating my skin to extremely high quality products that consistently provide great results. Here are a few of my favorite La Mer products and why I love them!
- Soleil De La Mer – This easy to use self-tanner for face and body is subtle and streak-free. It gives a nice even glow and helps maintain existing color. It blends well, is not sticky, and has a nice light fragrance.
- The Treatment Lotion – This is the product you use after cleansing; it literally preps the skin for the rest of your La Mer routine. You will notice right away that your skin feels softer and it’s a great stepping stone before your applying your favorite serum or moisturizer.
- The Moisturizing Soft Cream – I LOVE this moisturizer. I know some people prefer the classic Crème de la Mer, but I love how easy the soft cream is to apply; it is not too heavy, but still packed with intense moisturizers that leave your skin radiant and soft. It is ideal for combination skin like mine.
- The Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UV Protecting Fluid – This SPF fluid blends so easily into the skin that there is really no excuse for not using sunscreen. It’s lightweight but also provides a nice dose of moisture, and I love the classic fragrance. The bottle is the perfect size to toss in your purse too, so you can always have it available for touch ups.
- The Reparative Sun Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – Again, sun protection is so vital for preventing premature skin damage. I had this SPF lotion before getting the SPF 50 Protecting Fluid, but I do like and use both. I like that this particular product is intended to help repair damage from sun exposure.
- THE PERFECTING TREATMENT – I think this is probably my most favorite product from La Mer. I have these crinkly lines that show up on the outside of my nose when I smile and I struggle with keeping that part of my complexion smooth. This lightweight gel absolutely does the trick! It gives a soft blur and boost of hydration to my skin, keeping it supple, and not falling victim to those fine lines. I feel like my skin soaks up this product and looks revived and fresh, not at all sticky or shiny.
- The Moisturizing Matte Lotion – Speaking of shine…I have a very oily T-Zone and I can start “glowing” rather quickly into the day. The matte lotion has had mixed reviews, but I stand by it, as I see and feel an instant difference after applying it. It glides on smoothly, is not greasy, and leaves a soft finish. I won’t say it completely nixes my oily T-Zone, but it does certainly help and is a top product in my skincare routine.
- The Cleansing Gel – I love that this cleanser is a gel that foams, it feels great on the skin and you don’t need to use a lot. It is gentle which is important because I have microbladed brows and lash extensions and I can’t use harsh cleansers on my face. It easily removes makeup and impurities and rinses clean. My skin feels fresh and hydrated after use, not dry, which tends to happen to my skin after cleansing with other products.
Below are direct links to all of these products; keep an eye out for special beauty sales at local department stores and/or specialty shops like Sephora or Blue Mercury. Another place I’ve found discounts on La Mer products is on Jet. com. Full disclosure, I have never paid full price for my La Mer items, I always wait and try to stock up when there are sales going on. Sakes recently had a 20% off sale which included beauty products, and Sephora has a few VIB offers throughout the year. Also, be sure to take advantage of free minis provided by many retailers both in-store and online, it’s a great way to have your favorites available to take with you when you travel.
