Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

 

As I’m sure everyone knows, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started this morning at 12:01 a.m. PST; that means 3:01 a.m. EST for me! Did I set my alarm and get up early to shop…OF COURSE! I was able to place a few different orders between 3:01 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. before I had to force myself to go back to sleep so I could get up for work. So, without further adieu, here is what I ordered today!

LUGGAGE/ACCESSORIES

Nordstrom Chevron 29-Inch & 20-Inch Spinner Luggage Set ($408 Value) – $233.90

I wanted to get the black set, but it sold out while in my cart, so I purchased the gunmetal set instead. I think these will travel well and not show scuffs and scratches as easily as my light colored luggage pieces do.

 

DIFF Sophie 52mm Polarized Sunglasses – $56.90

I’ve seen some super cute sunglasses in this sale, but unfortunately, not all of the styles look best on me. I have to go for oversize, square frames that help me with my round face. These looked like the right style, so I hope they work well for me.

 

 

BEAUTY

Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette ($153 Value) – $75.00

So pretty right? Looks like some great shades that will be good all year round!

 

SPACE.NK.apothecary Oribe Magic Styling Set ($90 Value) – $60.00

I love Oribe products and the Gold Lust line is my favorite. Both of these products work well, they don’t leave your hair sticky or tacky and the Oribe fragrance is so refreshing!

 

Living proof® Travel Set ($43 Value) – $29.00

I use the dry volume blast when my hair is super flat and I need a big boost. It can lean towards a little sticky and stiff, but it does the job. I’m curious to try this dry shampoo and hairspray, and the travel set is a good way to test them out to see if I like them.

 

Supergoop!® Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 Home & Away Duo ($40 Value) – $28.00

I got a sample of this from a purchase I made through Sephora and I like it. It’s a setting mist and SPF in one!I am glad to have both a regular size and travel size so that I can take it on the go with me.

Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 & Refill Set ($70 Value) – $40.00

Because I can get super shiny, I love this setting powder and SPF combo!

 

 

JACKETS

There were a lot of cute jackets, cardigans and coats in the sale. I picked up a few to try and my intention is to not keep all of them, but we shall see… 🙂

Caslon® Draped Utility Jacket (Regular & Petite) – $45.90

I think this jacket is a steal at $46; I love gray and I like the drape on this design, so I’m hoping it works out!

 

BB Dakota Maddox Cotton Twill Army Jacket – $59.90

Ugh…the website/app/everything went down while I was trying to order this jacket and I lost my preferred size! I bought a larger size to try, but not sure if it will fit right. It’s so cute though!!!

 

BB Dakota Gabrielle Faux Leather Asymmetrical Jacket – $69.90

I got both colors (black and toffee) in this jacket even though I’m not 100% sure about it, but I figured for the price, I would give it a shot. I always worry that faux leather will look really cheap. I have a few jackets already from BB Dakota though and I like their products, so we’ll see if these are up to par.

 

BLANKNYC Meant to Be Moto Jacket – $64.90

This is another jacket I’m giving a try; I like the gold hardware and hoping it will look good on me!

 

BLANKNYC Cloud Nine Drape Jacket – $59.90

I like the color of this jacket and it seemed to be lightweight and not too bulky. It may end up being a little too long for me, but maybe it will work out.

 

CARDIGANS

Again, so many cardigans on sale and a lot of bloggers have similar favorites. I too love the look of big, comfy, cozy cardigans, but I tend to look really bulky under those styles, so I opted for a few that seemed like they might be a better option for me; fingers crossed!

Leith Dolman Sleeve Cardigan – $42.90

I got all three colors (black, pink, and tan) in this Leith cardigan. I’m hoping I struck gold here and it never hurts to grab every color in something you like!

 

Barefoot Dreams® CozyChic Lite® Circle Cardigan – $76.90

These cardigans by Barefoot Dreams tend to sell out pretty quickly, so I’m happy I snagged one in Carbon/Black Heather.

 

BP. Oversized Waffle Stitch Cardigan – $45.90

Ok…I know I just said I get pillsbury doughboy-ish in big cardigans, but this one looked super comfy and I sized down so hopefully it works outs and I’m not swimming in it lol!

 

Caslon® Knit Blazer (Regular & Petite) – $39.90

I needed a new blazer and this one came at a good price from the sale. Hoping it’s not too bulky on me.

 

BP. Ribbed Cardigan  – $25.90

I saw these on some bloggers’ instastories, and I loved how they fit and looked. I got both colors, Beige Oatmeal, and Grey Cloudy Heather.

 

TOPS

Leith Rib Wrap Sweater – $39.90

I’m a fan of Leith line, so I grabbed this sweater in ivory; it looks to be a good length and I love the wrap style.

 

Leith Sweater Tank – $29.90

Another Leith item in classic, neutral beige. This should be a good top to wear now and later.

 

BP. Textured Stitch V-Neck Pullover – $25.90

So…if you haven’t noticed by now, I’m a huge fan of solids and classics lol. Being so, I definitely had to grab this easy to pair and wear sweater in three colors. For $26, I just couldn’t pass them up!

 

Topshop Elbow Sleeve Turtleneck Top – $15.90

So many factors here – I love Topshop, I love turtlenecks, and I love paying $16.00 for these super cute elbow length tops. I got black and green, but there are other colors also available.

 

Caslon® Long Sleeve Scoop Neck Cotton Tee (Regular & Petite) – $17.90

I think I have just about every color this top was made in; I wear them all pretty regularly as they are great basics and fit well. I got the black stripe and navy stripe to add to my collection.

 

Socialite Thermal Henley Top – $24.90

Another good closet staple in a neutral Oatmeal color.

 

Halogen® V-Neck Tunic Tee (Regular & Petite) – $19.90

These halogen tees are also on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. I have several of the scoop neck version and a few v-neck ones that probably are a little worn out now, so these will help replenish my stock.

 

BP. Lace Trim Satin Camisole – $22.90

I think these lace trim satin camisoles are a steal, so I got them in green botanical, white, and black! They will pair well with so many of my new and current closet items. I love good deals on great staples!

 

Chelsea28 Lace Yoke Top – $45.90

I’ve been really into finds from Chelsea28 lately; I like this top’s design, but not sure if the $46 price tag is worth it for me based on how much I might wear it. I’ll try it on and see if it makes the grade.

 

BODYSUITS

I’ve been really liking some of the bodysuits I’ve seen online lately. I recently posted a photo in a black one from Felina, which I really love. Felina had a few more of their styles go on sale so I grabbed them up in hopes that they fit just as well as the one I already have.

I love the long sleeves on this one, which will be perfect for all.

Just for fun…maybe haha! Not sure this will look as good on me, but it was cute enough to give it a try!

 

DENIM

A lot of good denim deals are in this sale. I have a hard time with length and size so I don’t ever really go for designer denim as I usually have to get my jeans altered at Nordstrom after buying them. My go to brands for Nordstrom denim are Articles of Society and STS Blue. With this sale, I’m giving a few other mid-price brands a try though, so we’ll see how they work out. I usually look for ankle length or cropped styles that actually end up not being cropped on me; usually an inseam of 26-28 will be OK. I also like a narrow leg opening at the bottom of no more than 10 inches, otherwise it just sticks out too much. When I get my jeans altered at Nordstrom, I always request that they taper the leg in to 10 inches at the opening, as it’s larger when they cut it higher to hem them. I also always ask for the original hems to be placed back on as well. With all of that work, it ends up being between $40-$45 dollars to alter each pair of jeans, so in the end a $50 pair ends up being almost double for me, so I have to pick and choose wisely. I ordered a few different pairs in different sizes, and again, my intention is to not keep all of them, with the hope that a few work out really well!

This brand Wit & Wisdom is new for me; apparently they have slimming and lifting qualities, so I’m excited to try them out.

Grabbed a few comfy lounge pants, workout wear, and socks that I thought were pretty good deals!

Fleece lined?! These were a must try, I hope they are as comfy as I’m imagining them to be!

 

Nordstrom Lingerie ‘Lazy Mornings’ Lounge Pants – $25.90

I can just see me now in these pants, enjoying a lazy morning or two…hundred!

So cute! And who doesn’t want to be cute when you’re working on your fitness?

I am forever losing socks or half of the pair so I’m happy to grab this neutral 3-pack for $9.

I mean because they are lavender footies! Total home spa must have! 🙂

 

OK…so there you have it, everything I was able to buy today starting at 3:01 a.m. EST, to about noon because the site was going in and out. Since I used today as one of my triple point days, there’s a high chance I’ll go back in later tonight to have another look, so if I do, I’ll be sure to add any new items to this post.
