Hi guys, as you may know, I visited Portland, Oregon for the first time last week. It was a great trip all in all, but my favorite thing about it was the hotel we stayed in, called The Nines. It is described as: …a contemporary and stylish luxury hotel housed in a historic building in downtown Portland. Featuring art filled spaces, inspired dining and incredible views. It’s centrally located in the business district and close to all kinds of restaurants, shopping and event arenas. We actually traveled to Portland to watch the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) Championship game that was being played at Providence Park just a short walk away from the hotel. If you read my bio, you may know that I’ve played soccer my whole life (and still do!), and I’m a huge fan of the sport, so it was nice to support the women’s professional league and also visit a place we’ve never been to before.
But back to the hotel, it’s style and decor focused on fashion and glam and was truly right up my alley. I loved the elegant touches like the crystal light fixtures that brought beauty to the spaces, and set the ambiance perfectly. Everything was styled in a sleek, modern, and chic manner that was truly classic and timeless. Fun fact, back in high school, one of my teachers used “to the nines” to describe me. I originally had no idea what it meant, but after she explained it to me, I was so flattered, and I love that this hotel has that reference as well. Also, 9 has always been my number, with my birthday being 9/19, so I defintely feel like it was the perfect place for me to stay at!
Here’s a tour of our suite, which was so gorgeous!
Fashion was infused in everything at the hotel. From bust forms throughout the lobby and artistic panels throughout the hallways, to fashion themed coffee table books as decor in our room, it was a fashionista’s dream haven. Of course, my travel companions fit right in and enjoyed a special place all to themselves lol! From the bedding to the bathrobes, everything was so luxe, and I enjoyed every moment of it!
We ended up really enjoying the two on-site restaurants as well. Departure, was on the rooftop and was a nice Asian/Fusion type place that featured some great small plate options.
Urban Farmer was right in the main lobby of the hotel and had a cute, casual vibe.
I really loved the aesthetic at this hotel and the service was just as fabulous. Would happily go back and stay at this hotel the next opportunity I get.Have you guys also stayed at a hotel that you felt was just made for you? Comment below and share your most favorite hotels to stay at!
